With the new Space Race 2.0 enter the Garage Rocketeers. A group of professional engineers, scientists, and technologists that build and launch rockets using tools found in most home garages. Utilizing Zoom, the Garage Rocketeers will reach children all over the globe, from the inner city of Memphis, to Cape Town South Africa, to Cape Canaveral Florida, Deep in the Space Coast. Our hope is that by breaking the digital divide and bringing these STEM opportunities around the globe via Zoom we can excite and inspire the next generation to become rocket scientists, engineers, and technologists.
If a group of guys can launch rockets from a garage, anyone can do it.
What is Garage Rocketeers?
Garage to Space
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic a small group of media professionals from around the world began meeting daily for “Office Hours”. Eventually this small group expanded and many successful projects were launched. One of those projects was OH-Space, a live-streamed rocket launch in the desert near Las Vegas. This project brought together over 25 technologists from all over the world. All critical infrastructure had to be brought to the desert and built for the production.

Going to space is a goal that less than 1% of mankind will experience. But now with advances in technology and a little bit of garage engineering, a group of technologists will attempt it.
